Calverton's Middle School is comprised of students in Grades 6-8. The Middle School environment encourages both academic and social learning. As students strive for independence during this transitional stage, Calverton provides them with a positive, sensitive, and academically-structured atmosphere in which they become aware of their role in the world around them.

Calverton's Middle School program helps developmentally diverse students become responsible, cooperative, and self-disciplined individuals. In a personalized environment, a variety of learning styles and approaches are practiced to help students become individual thinkers and facilitators of their own learning. Numerous opportunities for risk-taking, in a variety of settings on and off of campus, provide students a chance to reflect on, evaluate, and take responsibility for their own actions in order to develop respect for themselves and others.
